Lakeside Bike Park

Buffalo

Located on Buffalo's Outer Harbor, the 20-acre Lakeside Bike Park opened in 2019, debuting three unique .34 mile bike trails, along with a pump track and tot track featuring a short, introductory-level trail loop. The Lakeside Bike Park connects to the city's bike trail system through the Ohio Street bike path. Or, after Memorial Day, take the Queen City Bike Ferry from downtown that connects to the north end of the Outer Harbor.

Clarence Pathways

Clarence, Newstead, Akron

By repurposing old railroad corridors, the communities of Clarence, Newstead and Akron enjoy an 18-mile paved trail system made up of five trails. Rest stations and bathrooms are located along the trails, which will take you from parks to town centers and more.

Rochester Area

Genesee Riverway Trail

One of the best ways to travel Rochester is biking the Genesee Riverway Trail. This scenic, 24-mile trail links nine historic districts and landmarks while providing direct access to the Genesee River, a gorge, three waterfalls and eleven parks.

Auburn Trail

Not only will you get some great exercise riding the 10-mile Auburn Trail, you'll spot many relics of the region's railroad history along the way. The crushed-stone trail follows the former New York Central railroad line from Farmington to Pittsford.

Syracuse Area

West Shore Trail (John Hayley Memorial Trail)

Syracuse

This paved trail runs along the western shore of Onondaga Lake, stretching 4.5 miles over woodlands and open areas. You'll catch great views of the lake and the city of Syracuse while passing through the St. Joseph's Health Amphitheater along the way.

Highland Forest

Fabius

The oldest of Onondaga County's parks, the Highland Forest includes 20 miles of year-round trails for your biking pleasure. If you want to slow down and take a closer look, Highland Park is also home to six square miles of rugged forest terrain for you to explore.

Southern Tier

Allegheny River Valley Trail

Olean/St. Bonaventure

Get a taste of the city of Olean, as well as neighboring St. Bonaventure University, with a ride on the Allegheny River Valley Trail. This 8 mile, paved ride will take you from St. Bonaventure's campus through a wooded path along the Allegheny River shoreline before giving you a tour of some of Olean's commercial and industrial areas. Stop in at Four Mile Brewing along the way for some refreshments and food.

Allegany State Park
