AAA Greece has a New Home
AAA Greece has a New Home

AAA’s Greece office has moved one mile down the road from its current location to 2589 W. Ridge Road.
Located next door to Starbucks, this new state-of-the-art AAA office features extended hours, a multimedia travel-planning experience, and one-on-one insurance consultations in a modern, contemporary setting.
WATCH: See the AAA sign being raised at the new AAA Greece location!
One important change to note is that we are printing and binding TripTiks off-site rather than on demand after the move. TripTiks should be ordered in advance and will be available for pickup at the new Greece office within 4-5 days after ordering. Or, for your convenience, you can have them shipped directly to your home in about 5-7 days. This change does not affect TripTik on-demand services at AAA’s Penfield or Pittsford locations.
Follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on the new AAA Greece location!

Hi Phil, The new AAA…
Hi Phil,
The new AAA location is conveniently located for many of our members, who may also enjoy the number of popular shopping and dining options available nearby. Please note that member feedback was a major factor in deciding where the new offices would go. Thank you!
New location
As many others have said, the new location is terrible! Very difficult and inconvenient to get in and out of. Very disappointing.
Thank you for your sharing…
Thank you for your sharing your concerns about the new location, M. Huber.
Please remember that AAA is a simple phone call away for members. You can call 1‑800‑AAA‑HELP for Emergency Road Service, 1-800-836-2582 for member services, or 1-800-937-1222 for travel agency services. We can even mail materials like TripTiks to your home.
New Greece location
I understand that you're trying to be civil in your responses and you need to tow the line with the company policy. However this was a major blunder.
Whoever decided it wouldn't be a big deal to have different offices in the same county not have the same access to services, clearly made a mistake. I'm surprised you didn't do a survey. You could have easily done one online as you probably are finding out now that people are using your e-newsletter!
Unfortunately there's probably nothing you can do about reversing the decision. But I wish you could!! I have used AAA for 37 years and prior to that I was in California and I used it there too. I have repeatedly not joined other services for emergency roadside service because I was so enamored of AAA's service.
I understand the demographic for people using your services has probably declined because of so many technological advances and these individuals prefer to use the technology.
However, there has to be a significant population of people remaining who would prefer to access AAA's services as they have become accustomed to it ... It's become a "staple" of their lives.
I'll tell you one significant concern that hasn't been addressed.. I did not hesitate to have my teenage driver go to your existing office. I considered it safe. That will not be true anymore. In fact, I made a few stops there before I actually purchased a set of luggage for her international trip. I can tell you that I wouldn't have done that in the future location... It just wouldn't have been worth it.
Don't bother responding....I know you'll take my comments into consideration and report my concerns to the appropriate individual. Because really that's all you can do.
However, I will be looking for another emergency roadside service provider since that's the service I use primarily. The other services provided by your location personnel and the products available for purchase I will probably get online. I usually purchase products in the local community to support it, but it certainly isn't worth the trouble with the driving situation in the future location.
Paulette, Thank you for…
Paulette,
Thank you for your comments, we appreciate you taking the time to voice your concerns and we are hopeful that you will continue to see value in your AAA membership.
The Double Standard Is Alive & Well At AAA
After reading through the lengthy list of complaints posted above, it is QUITE apparent in AAA's responses that the corporate idea of "customer service" is VERY different within the same county/metro area! If it's "convenient" for Greece residents to go online for TripTiks, or to use the phone for services, then why not do the SAME at the eastside office? We are paying the SAME membership fees, are we not??
I predict this is the FIRST step in leaving Greece completely. Given the numerous threats by seasoned members to leave AAA due to this hairbrained move, I suspect it will happen sooner, rather than later. I clearly recall when Greece had no AAA office and it certainly appears to me that will be the case again in the coming months. I've been a member for 45+ years and I'll use my internet to find a replacement for AAA - especially road service which I relied upon most. A very sad and bad decision!
We appreciate you sharing…
We appreciate you sharing your concerns about the new AAA Greece location. Please know that we are taking every measure to create a great member experience at the new offices. We thank you for your long time membership with AAA.
Trip Tiks
It is not fair for a AAA customer in Greece to wait for 4 to 5 days to get Trip Tiks service when another location provide that on the same day. We pay the same high yearly due for being a member. Totally unfair and inconvenient. Everyone that work at the Greece location are wonderful and helpful. Best group of workers who truly want to give excellent customer service. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words…
Thank you for the kind words about our associates in Greece! We are very proud of them.
And we also appreciate your comments about TripTiks. Keep in mind that you can make your own TripTiks now: aaa.com/triptik
New Location
Your design of the inside is smaller than the current location with no access to coffee or tea while we are waiting and speaking to an agent. The closeness to others is disconcerting as we would like more privacy when speaking to an agent. It takes time to review documentation before the start of a trip and there are many questions that I ask an agent before a trip that is so important to us. This location is in a bad location and the interior design is also very bad for customer service and comfort and the need to what the customer needs and is looking forward too. We pay a lot of money to have AAA and extra money for trips knowing that we have good service through our agent. At this point I will consider BJ's and Costco in the future for my trips as at least I can speak to them at home with a cup of coffee and get a better price for my trip. I would suggest you re-think this move and stay at your current location.
Anthony, We hope you…
Anthony,
We hope you will give the new location a chance - we've worked hard to make sure the new space is comfortable for members. The consultation areas for members to speak to travel agents are actually quite roomy and private. Thank you for your comments about the new AAA Greece location!
Horrible location and procedures
For almost 50 years whenever I can to a AAA office I always got what I wanted with only one stop. The Greece office recently moved and I want to express my displeasure. I came to the office to pick up tour books and maps. Never had to call in advance!! My wife is disabled and it is an effort to drive to AAA. I did not get what I wanted and had to order. It will require an additional trip. Not Good! The parking is cramped, especially with Starbucks cars going in and out, and at some point will give rise to an accident. In the winter with the snow piles it will get even worse. Getting out on Ridge Road is dangerous as traffic is fast and hard to see and, again, will only get worse in the winter. Not good for your member's safety. Going the other way puts you in conflict with Starbucks traffic. The office is a shell of what the other office was and having to wait for tripkits is poor customer service. I appreciated working with an advisor to discuss various approaches to our trips which gave rise to many adjustments to the tripkit. You cannot do that over a phone. That is all lost. Going to Pittsford or Penfield is not an option for us so we are stuck with poor service ( and no spur of the moment enjoyable trips ). Thank you AAA!
Thank you for sharing your…
Thank you for sharing your experience. I’ll be sure to share your concerns about the traffic and the TripTik ordering procedures with our management team. I’m also sorry to hear the materials you needed weren’t in stock. If you’d like to send us an e-mail at memberrelations@nyaaa.com and let us know what those items were, we can follow up internally.
Parking Not Good at this Location
New location is good but the parking lot is too small and too much traffic in and out from Starbucks, I was nearly hit by a car coming out of the Starbucks drive through on my first visit. Although I personally don’t use Triptiks, it would seem that they should either be on demand at all local AAA locations or not, it seems inequitable to offer the service at Penfield and Pittsford and not Greece, when memberships are the same. 42 year member.
Thanks for sharing, Ellen…
Thanks for sharing, Ellen. AAA continually evaluates our travel and insurance center locations. We’ll keep monitoring the traffic patterns in the area, and I’ll be sure to share your feedback with our management team, too.
Bad New Location, Worse Service Options
I am a long-term member of AAA and I agree with every negative comment you have received.
I also believe this is part of a longer term plan by AAA to close the Greece office. This then is a self-fulfilling prophecy - you move to new location (cheaper- so someone gets a bonus) that everyone hates and then selectivity cut services only at that location to further drive people away. This then causes members to quit or go to other offices. That makes the Greece location look bad and sooner or later will be used as justification to close it which is what AAA wants to do anyway.
It is a sad way to treat hundreds of loyal members.
Hi Patrick- Thanks for your…
Hi Patrick- Thanks for your feedback. I hope I can assure you that there are currently no plans to close the Greece office.
Membership
Like others, I too am questioning the value of an AAA membership. I have paid a hefty fee for 25 years, rarely need services and then on the one occasion I use the travel agency to book a trip, I am charged another fee. With gps and internet, I never request Triptiks anymore. What is the benefit of a membership?
Annette, There are many…
Annette,
There are many benefits to AAA membership beyond roadside assistance and travel. Your membership also provides discounts on gasoline, groceries and prescriptions for you and your pets. You also get discounts at AAA Approved Auto Repair facilities and AAA members can request free mobile battery testing. AAA membership also grants entry into the AAA Auto Buying Program for a cash-saving, negotiation free car-buying experience.
We also offer passport photos, discounted event and attraction tickets, foreign currency exchange and exclusive financial services. Our roadside service even extends to AAA membership who ride bicycles.
We hope that you will continue to enjoy the many benefits of your AAA membership. Thank you!
New Location could not have been researched.
I read through all the previous comments and have to agree, that the new location was not properly researched before the move. I also noted that AAA reply's are truly not addressing that this was a BIG MISTAKE on the part of AAA and it's "customer focus". As for "benefits & discounts" I got better discounts on recent train travels from Rochester to Denver that I booked myself on Amtrak's web site. On a recent trip to Washington,DC I use my vehicles intelligent center and cell phone which gave us three suggested routes to follow and as we followed one of the routes we got last minute traffic, detours and weather, local gas/food/lodging along the way. My vehicle's manufacturer even has a better roadside assistance program.
What I am saying is that the reason I joined AAA services and discounts for 22 years ago are no longer the value for the membership fee that AAA once was. I only used the Lowe's plaza location about half a dozen times and found it to be very convenient, easy and safe to get into and out of. I have not been to the new location but have driven by once and thought that was a very poor decision to move to. For myself and passengers safety I do not patronize business's on Ridge Road that do not have multiple entrances and exits and or a traffic light. AAA management's disastrous decision for this new location will become even more apparent the deeper we enter into the holiday shopping traffic.
P.S. no need to reply as I have read your same reply to all the previous comments.
AAA President Revealed The Truth About This Move ...
I saw the TV news coverage for the opening of the Greece AAA office a few weeks ago. Anthony Spada (AAA President WNY) spoke about how this office is geared for digital services, i.e. the needs of the under 35 age group. I've read every comment on this forum and it is obvious AAA either completely dropped the ball in selecting this new site and cutting services, OR AAA is on its way out of Greece, as other postings have predicted. Maybe it's both. After nearly 40 yrs. of membership, I won't be renewing my membership and have already stopped using my AAA credit card and found other CHEAPER/BETTER insurance services. A sad day in Greece NY!
Sally,Rest assured that…
Sally,
Rest assured that AAA has no plans to leave Greece. We thank you for your 40 years of membership and we hope you've enjoyed the many benefits of AAA during your time with the Club.
New greece Office
I am thrilled with the new office and location. Brilliant idea that customers can pick up AAA trip materials and relax at Starbucks next door while planning their next trip.
The place you had before was much more convenient. The new location is very difficult to get to on that corner; a very difficult intersection to get to. You should have thought of an easie rapprachable place. I will not be using your services much anymore. Too bad you didn't ask for our feedback BEFOREHAND>
