A Message to Our Members

Dear Traveler,

Isn’t it amazing how life as we knew it has come to a screeching halt? Who knew that this could even be possible? We accepted a short pause that has since been expanded causing each of us to adapt in our own unique way.

If there’s anything that can be gained from this momentary global lapse, it’s the communities coming together to support those in need, essential workers stepping up to assist, families praying for the ill, and all of us taking time to appreciate the little things in life.

This is a time of family, friends, and virtual connections - online happy hours, social media fitness classes and digital travel are more necessary than ever to fill a void in our lives amidst this global pandemic.

Right now, in this time of social distancing, while we can’t physically see the world, we are working on ways to help you imagine, with the theme, “dream now, travel later.”

Please know that AAA has been a safety advocate for nearly 120 years. We have always put safety and security first, and that will never change.

Over the past several years, we have watched global travel reach new levels with individuals, couples and families looking to immerse themselves in worldwide cultures, learn about people and places firsthand, search for the unknown, and experience destinations.

The “social media effect” took hold with travelers sharing their experiences through photos, videos and hashtags, which inspired more people to go out and see the world. Foodies were born, wine and craft beer toasted, while art and music were celebrated. The fulfillment of travel was cherished.

And now, there’s a void, a hole, a missing piece. But we, at AAA, know that this won’t last forever. Eventually, the world will be deemed safe and travelers will once again seek out unique destinations yearning to experience new cultures. There’s no doubt that travel will return, with a dazzling comeback.

Our travelers have confirmed this notion by sharing their bucket list destinations. They want to support economies, they hope to see new places, and they need to unwind after a very stressful time.

Over the past several weeks, our travel consultants have worked tirelessly to accommodate our travelers. They’ve called vendors and suppliers, checked on passengers, rebooked trips and postponed dreams. That’s reality. Please know that we have been here before, during, after, and throughout this pandemic. That’s AAA.

And we’ll be here in the future when it’s once again time to travel the world. Remember, dream now, travel later. Work on that bucket list, because when the sky clears, the time will come to once again turn off the virtual palm trees and physically position yourself on the beach.

In the meantime, take good care of your families knowing that AAA is here for you, with more than a century of experience, expertise and knowledge. Don’t hesitate to reach out when you need us. Until then, stay safe.
