Following a strong year for travel across the region, AAA Western and Central New York is pleased to announce the addition of several new travel representatives and the transition of some leaders in its travel department.

Angela Wawrzynek has been with AAA for 25 years, working as both a travel consultant and manager of the Ken-Ton AAA Travel & Insurance Center. Wawrzynek has accepted a role as Travel Retail Operations Trainer, where she will be responsible for training initiatives with the Travel sales teams on various systems and travel products. AAA WCNY is thrilled to have Wawrzynek lead new associates in the travel industry.

Tana Garcia, who joined AAA WCNY just over one year ago, will transition from the Orchard Park to the Ken-Ton Travel & Insurance Center and keep her title as Branch Sales and Operations Manager. Garcia, who lives in the Northtowns, is excited over a shorter commute, along with new opportunities. In just one year, Garcia has made measurable improvements at AAA Orchard Park.

Laura Piazza joins AAA WCNY as the new Branch Sales and Operations Manager in Orchard Park. Piazza, a lifelong resident of Hamburg, NY brings 20 years of experience, and multiple certifications in the travel industry to this role. “I am excited about the trust and value behind the AAA name,” Piazza said. “When I walk into most hotels, the first thing I see is the AAA Diamond rating plaque on the wall. AAA is a recognized and trusted name in travel, and that carries a lot of weight with customers.” Piazza, a Disney fanatic, has traveled to 17 countries and considers her favorite destination to be Hawaii. 

Rochester native Sonia Cittadino joins AAA WCNY as Branch Sales and Operations Manager at the Pittsford Travel & Insurance Center. She brings 23 years combined experience in travel sales and travel management. Fluent in both Spanish and Italian, she loves to bake so you’ll often find her in the kitchen when she’s not busy at the office, traveling, or watching her sons compete on the bowling alley. “I’m so excited about everything AAA has to offer,” Cittadino said. “AAA has exceptional products. You don’t find that everywhere. It’s a one stop travel store with everything travelers need.”
