Travelers enjoyed a long holiday weekend with little disruptions at the pump. Gas prices remain flat and are expected to drop this fall as refineries switch over to winter blend fuel, which is cheaper to produce. AAA predicts that average prices could get as low as $2.70 per gallon as long as nothing interferes. One year ago, gas prices spiked this week after hurricanes took out refineries.

Motorists can always find current gas prices along their route with the free AAA Mobile app for iPhone, iPad, and Android. The app can also be used to map a route, find discounts, book a hotel, and access AAA roadside assistance. Locate gas prices across the country at http://gasprices.aaa.com.
