Day 8: Tulips in Amsterdam

Amsterdam
AAA Member Appreciation Trip Wraps Up with a Colorful Visit
Elizabeth Carey

When the 2019 AAA WCNY Member Appreciation Trip came to a close, many of the travelers headed home to Buffalo, Rochester or Syracuse while a large number of travelers chose to remain in Amsterdam for the post-cruise option.

Adding a pre or post stay to your weeklong cruise is a good way to extend your trip to further explore destinations with a hotel stay.

Luckily for our travelers, Dutch tulip season was still in bloom and they were able to see millions (yes millions!) of flower bulbs in bloom on an exclusive tour. They also toured museums and had free time to explore Amsterdam in awe of all of the bicycles and canals. AAA arranged a private canal boat for members who were touring Amsterdam and everyone enjoyed the sites.

Of course, there are many hotels to choose from and AAA Travel consultants arranged hotels for the group that remained for the post-cruise stay.

That’s one of the best parts of group travel – all of the arrangements are made for you and you can sit back and relax and truly enjoy your vacation. When AAA plans the trip, it takes all the guesswork out of it for travelers!

If you’re interested in next year’s 2020 Member Appreciation trip, which will also be a river cruise with a special focus on history as it explores Paris and Normandy following the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Travelers who don’t wish to visit Normandy will have other options available to them. You can find more information at: https://westerncentralny.aaa.com/travel/trips/paris-normandy.
