AAA Western and Central New York is ready to set sail on its annual Member Appreciation Trip aboard Uniworld’s S.S. Antoinette, a river cruise ship in Europe. What’s unique about this journey is that AAA WCNY chartered the entire ship and it will be filled with local passengers from Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse regions.

Every year, AAA WCNY hosts a Member Appreciation Trip led by President and CEO Tony Spada complete with AAA tour guides. This year’s journey, called “Castles along the Rhine,” will take travelers to historic cities and fairytale towns. Travelers will see four countries: Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands all from the Rhine River.

Some travelers have already embarked for a pre-cruise stay in Switzerland while others will leave AAA’s headquarters at 100 International Drive on Saturday, May 11 at 11:30 a.m. by motorcoach headed to the Toronto airport for their departure. What a perfect way to wrap up National Travel and Tourism Week, which ends on May 11.
AAA WCNY Public Relations Director Elizabeth Carey will be traveling with the group and sharing their experience on social media and in blogs. Please follow along and feel free to reach out to Elizabeth with any media inquiries about the trip or Europe in general.

European river cruising is increasingly popular with local travelers since it requires unpacking only once, yet affords visitors the opportunity to see multiple cities and sites within one week from a luxurious ship chartered by AAA WCNY. Travelers will treasure picturesque scenery and history filled with medieval castles, splendid cathedrals and scenes that have inspired great poets, painters and composers alike.

The annual Member Appreciation Trip is an opportunity for travelers from Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse to enjoy an incredible journey with like-minded travelers while taking advantage of special perks and savings. The 2020 trip is already scheduled for May 7-14, 2020 and will immerse travelers in World War II history while also offering French wine and culinary experiences, all while sailing along the River Seine enjoying breathtaking scenery. Travelers can also call 855-862-6651 for more information.
