Everyone can use some extra tips on driving skills in the winter – especially teens! AAA Teen Driver Education reduces teen driving accidents and saves lives. AAA’s exclusive driver training program provides 30 hours of classroom instruction and 10 45-minute behind-the-wheel lessons one-on-one with a certified driving instructor. Plus, many local area high schools have chosen to partner with AAA to offer high-quality driver education. That means we need more instructors!
Qualified candidates must be able to communicate effectively to students of all ages. Knowledge of traffic safety/traffic laws and teaching/training background is preferred, but not necessary. Sign-on bonus for experienced candidates with MV-524 certification that have completed the 30-hour basic course.
In-Car Driving Instructors:
- Involves the delivery of AAA curriculum to novice drivers in a behind-the-wheel setting on weeknights and/or weekends during the school year, mornings and afternoons during the summer.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Driver Education and and/or Traffic Safety is preferred, but not required.
- Candidates must have good time management skills and be able to work independently. They must be at least 21 years old with a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. A background check will be performed (including DMV).
