National Small Business Week is underway! The weeklong celebration, May 5-11, 2019, is designed by the U.S. Small Business Administration to support small businesses across the country. 

AAA is saying “Happy National Small Business Week” to the 30 million small businesses that are the backbone of our economy and our communities. Across the country and our local region, neighborhoods and families depend on the success of small businesses. 

Did you know that small businesses create two out of every three net new jobs in the private sector? These businesses touch nearly every industry, including automotive services. AAA Contractor, Action Towing & Service, located in Henrietta, is a small business that goes above and beyond to support its customers by providing great customer service.

“The small business model allows us to be flexible and fluid in the environment as it changes. We are closer to the grassroots issues that affect the industry, and therefore we can immediately react and adjust in real time,” said Craig Camp, President of Action Towing & Service, when asked how being a small business allows him to better serve his AAA members. 

Action Towing & Service is part of AAA’s Approved Auto Repair (AAR) program, which identifies trusted repair facilities after a rigorous inspection process. Action recently received a “Top Shop” award from AAA Western and Central New York after maintaining “totally satisfied” survey scores for 2018. 

Small businesses employ almost 59 million workers. More than half of the workforce either works for or owns a small business. This week is a great time to show support for and commit to using small businesses all year.
