Just in time for the holiday shopping season, a new program allows AAA members to lower the cost of their membership dues by earning rebates from eGift Cards purchased at AAA.com.

More than 375 major brands – including Bath & Body Works, Barnes & Noble, LL Bean and The North Face – offer rebates up to 11 percent on eGift Card purchases. The rebates are then credited back to the AAA member’s account, automatically lowering his or her annual AAA dues. 

“Besides the money they’re saving on their AAA dues, our members especially like saving time with this program during the holidays,” said program manager Jennifer Argentieri. “They can shop at their convenience – early morning, on their lunch break or late at night – and they don’t have to face those crowded stores and snowy parking lots.” 

The program works when a member logs in to AAA.com to browse and purchase eGift Cards from any of hundreds of participating brands. Each brand’s rebate percentage is clearly labeled, and that amount will be applied to the member’s AAA account upon purchase, instantly lowering the cost of AAA dues when it’s time to renew.  

Gift-givers can choose to print or email the eGift Cards, depending on their shopping style.

“There are two kinds of people this time of year: Those who are almost done shopping by now, and those who are still waiting to get started,” Argentieri said. “The planners can go ahead and purchase their eGift Cards in advance, then print them for personal delivery or assign a future email delivery date. Our procrastinators don’t need to worry, though. Once they start shopping, they can have the eGift Cards delivered by email within minutes of the purchase.”
