AAA Celebrates Diversity in the Workplace

Did you know that 58 percent of AAA Western and Central New York employees are women?
AAA Western and Central New York employees are taking time this month to recognize the contributions and advancement of women in the workplace as part of Women's History Month and International Women's Day (March 8).
March is designated Women’s History Month by Presidential proclamation. The month is set aside to honor women’s contributions in American history.
International Women's Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

Associates at the AAA Ken Ton offices shared their thoughts on what they enjoy about being working women at AAA:
- “Being surrounded by other strong, fabulous woman in the office.” - Jen Dudek, International Sales Consultant
- “AAA empowers women to lead, values our opinions, encourages diversity and cultivates an inclusive environment.” - Taña Garcia, Branch Sales and Operational Manager
- “We have an office of strong women. I learn something new from them every day.” – Heidi Smith, Customer Service & Sales Consultant
- “Being part of a team that steps up and supports each other.”- Denise Ambrusko-Madia, International Sales Consultant
- “Diversity, inclusion and teamwork are important to me. The staff and clients in the AAA Kenton office have embodied just that.“ – Stephanie Foreman, Insurance Agent

Marissa D'Arpino, Travel Marketing Coordinator at AAA Liverpool, said she is delighted to work with strong, motivated women across various departments.
"Women not only bring diversity to a working team, but women can benefit any employer by bringing in unique experiences which can boost productivity, motivation levels and creativity in the office," D'Arpino said. "If a workplace is dominated by one gender, you are missing out on the opportunity to attract more talent!"
AAA Western and Central New York President and CEO Tony Spada met with dozens of AAA Amherst employees to celebrate International Women's Day.
"We strongly promote an environment in which women and men are equal in professional status, pay, media perception and the positions they hold. AAA embraces equality and diversity of gender and race in our workforce," Spada said.
